...tiny, baby pea sprouts! I also have some beet sprouts and the merest hint of a cucumber sprout, but I'd need a super-macro lens for them.
What, my nearly invisible pea sprouts aren't as exciting as lambs jumping around, or chicks peeping and pecking? Ok. Well, what about this little character blooming way in the back of the yard?
Not so exciting? Last year this redbud tree had one single bloom on it. One.

ReplyDeleteGarret, of course you do. :) If I could re-do everything, I'd be all over the cherries and dogwoods and a couple crape myrtles--though the dogwoods need shade, I think. And don't forget the azaleas, please.
ReplyDeleteI am waiting for my lilac bush... or is it lavendar... or crud. Well, it's a bush and it was planted a couple of years ago as a baby and now it should be it's best year EVAH! I am so eager for its gorgeous purple blooms and wonderful flowery scent!!
ReplyDeleteDriving around yesterday I saw 3 different trees aligned with varying shades of purple. If I wasn't driving, it would have made an awesome picture. I love the trees here in Charlotte! Gorgeous and plentiful.

The pictures are lovely and I, too, would be thrilled by pea shoots. According to our local gardening gurus we're about three weeks behind where we should be, so I have been holding off on planting the peas. But I think Saturday will be the day!
